THE BLUE PLATE SPECIAL
Didier Nolet is participating in the “Blue Plate Special” show at
August House Studio, 2113 W. Roscoe, Chicago, 773-327-5644,
augusthouse@sbcglobal.net
This is a group show of twenty artists that have painted about 80 plates in the 17th Century Dutch style, Delft.
All the plates are deep ultramarine blue glaze on white china.
Artists Reception: Friday, December 5, 6 to 9 PM. Show runs from December 5th through December 21st.

GEORGE C. CLARK will be showing his miniature rustic twig furniture in
Evanston Art Center's Winter Arts & Crafts Expo
from November 22 through December 13.
Two of GEORGE C. CLARK's Miniature rustic furniture sculptures have been juried into the Maryland Federation of Art's "Small Wonders" at its Circle Gallery in Annapolis, a national exhibition of small scale art that will run from December 2 through December 27.
Similar work by Clark can be seen on an ongoing basis at the Longbranch Gallery in Mineral Point, Wisconsin.


Sandra Holubow has work included in the
American Jewish Artists Club exhibit"Let There Be Light," at
the Mendelson Gallery of Temple Sholom

The exhibit continues through January 7, 2009.


Peter N. Gray will be one of the featured artists at the
Science in Art Exhibition at the University of Chicago Center for Integrative Science
The exhibition dates are October 10 through December 13, 2008.

Beatriz Ledesma will be showing her 2005 series "Keys" at

ART AND THE GARDENER
Chicago based artist Didier Nolet has been featured in the new book "Art and the Gardener: Fine Paintings as Inspiration for Garden Design" by Gordon Hayward.
In his most recent one Gordon Hayward explains (and show) how paintings can be a source of inspiration for the creation of garden. This book is a wonderful tool for gardeners and a must for everybody who loves art. Please check out Didier Nolet's painting on page 117.
