"Be part of “Doll Influx” at ARC

ARC Gallery and Educational Foundation is holding a fundraiser during
the month of November.  We need to raise money to move to a
more-happening location next spring.
We have been part of the Chicago art community for close to 40 years,
and we want to continue to showcase the same kind of variety of
interesting work that we have done for so many years.  We need your
help!

Please donate an artist-made doll to be part of our silent auction
during the month of November.  The auction will end at a gala party
with entertainment on Saturday, November 19, from 6 to 10pm.  Please
come to that as well.

We are accepting 2/D work and 3/D work----doll dolls and
representations of dolls.  Paintings, sculptures, photos, new media.
Everything related to the theme of “doll” is welcome. All donations
must be at the gallery by noon on Sunday,  October 30.

Please, let all your artist friends know about Doll Influx.
Thank you!"

October 6 – 28, 2011

Several members of The Breakfast Group are exhibiting at Call and Response:  From Artemisia to Frida.
The annual collaboration between
the Museum and Oakton’s Women's and Gender Studies Program challenges each presenter
to engage with and react to the work of an influential woman artist. The exhibit will feature works by prominent local, national, and international
women artists in a wide range of styles and media that respond in ways that honor, critique, or expand upon the techniques and/or content of
groundbreaking female "masters" -- past and present.

Public Reception: Thursday, October 6, 5 - 8 p.m.
