Kathy Weaver Interview, Must Read
Following is an interview of me by Lydia Shepard, a writer from an organization called Sixty Inches from the Center, a non-for-profit group dedicated to archiving Chicago area artists. The files, digital and otherwise, are archived at The Harold Washington Library and are accessible to the public. I think all the ABG artists should avail themselves of this service. The directions about how to do this are on their website. The people who head "Sixty Inches", Tempestt Hazel and Nicolette Caldwell are very professional and efficient. Check out their other activities on their website. There are so many great things happening in Chicago in the arts!

Weaver's World Closing Soon 7/14!
We had a beautiful spring evening on June 8th when a crowd of 200 attended the opening of "Weaver's World, Robots: Drawings And Mixed Media" at The Art Center in Highland Park, IL.
All the hard work leading up to the opening was worth it. I had so much fun seeing friends (some drive 800 miles!), family, fellow artists and community members enjoying the art and each other.
Since I received an Illinois Arts Council Project Grant as well as monetary support from some local merchants, I was able to distribute a 28 page color catalogue of "Weaver's World" to exhibit visitors. Joyce Owens, artist, curator and professor wrote the catalogue essay. Dr. Sandro Mussa-Invaldi of the Rehabilitation Institute added commentary. Carol Jones of JonesHouse, Inc., designed the nifty catalogue. Emanuel Aguilar of Kavi Gupta Gallery designed the exhibit; he did an outstanding job.
Amanda Ross-Ho Catalogue!
Ruyell's daughter Amanda's 320 pages
catalog published by MOCA.
I will bring it to breakfast next week.
