My friend composer Lita Grier was commissioned
to write a Missa Brevis in memory of the children
who were killed recently in Connecticut.
It will be the centerpiece of a choral concert
conducted by noted choral conductor Doreen
Rao at St. James Cathedral, just north
of the loop....this Sunday the 13th, at 5 PM.
The concert is free.
I attach the invite. I did the poster and invite.
This is going to be a rather special concert
as they are inviting several choral groups
from around the country, including Chicago's
William Ferris Chorale.
