Stapleton's work consists of fantastic mixed media collage mixed media collages of hybrid bird/human characters. Stapleton holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute and is assistant curator at the Illinois State Museum. His other artistic forays revolve around performance.
Karras is a 3rd generation Chicago native whose work consists of stylized human/animal/plant hybrids. Alchemy, metamorphosis and mythology richly inform much of Karras's work. Karras is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute.
